Michael Breznau - Lead Pastor
Lead Pastor, Michael Breznau, and his lovely wife, Stephanie arrived at North Park in November 2013. They are the parents of an energetic little guy, Hudson, and an adorable toddler, Everlynn. Pastor Michael is a graduate of Dallas Theological Seminary (Th.M. – Pastoral Ministries) and has enjoyed serving on God’s mission through preaching, evangelism, and music ministry across locations such as his home state of Michigan, to Montana, Tennessee, Indiana, Ohio, Massachusetts, Arkansas, Texas, and the country of India. Michael loves to passionately communicate the Gospel of grace so that God’s people are inspired by the Holy Spirit to follow Jesus Christ with radical faith. Michael and Stephanie love to write, sing, engage in one-on-one discipleship, and reach out on the mission of Jesus. Tom Rohrer - Associate Pastor
Pastor Tom Rohrer has served at North
Park as Associate Pastor since July of 1995. He received his education
from Grand Rapids Baptist College and Grand Rapids
Baptist Theological Seminary. He oversees many of the children's and adult ministries and functions in administrative, worship, and shepherding roles. Joyce Botruff Rohrer, Tom's life partner and ministry partner, went home to be with the Lord in 2012. God gave them two wonderful daughters. Michelle is married to Pastor Chris Weeks of Kent City Baptist Church. Sherilyn is married to Joel Shaffer, the founder and director of Urban Transformation Ministries. UTM is an inner city ministry that brings the hope of Christ to at-risk youth and families in Grand Rapids. Each daughter has four very active children.
Pastor Tom Rohrer
John Nixon - Pastor of Student Ministries
Pastor John Nixon began serving as the Pastor of Student Ministries in July of 2010. A veteran of Student Ministries, he has been serving junior high and high school students and their families in the Grand Rapids area for more than 20 years. He loves teenagers and has a passion to see them make their lives count for Christ. He received his education at Clearwater Christian College in Florida and Grand Rapids Theological Seminary. He and his wife, Carol, were married August 13, 1988 and have four children: Brittany, Bethany, Aubrey and Josiah. The Nixons enjoy hangin’ out, quoting movie lines at the dinner table, attending high school football games, watching T.V. together, taking trips, and generally laughing a lot.
