North Park has an active child abuse prevention
policy that seeks to protect children from inappropriate
treatment, and to guard volunteers and others in
the church from false accusation.
All workers are required to be members of North
Park Baptist Church. That allows opportunity for
leaders in the church to get to know people prior
to granting permission to serve in children's
and youth ministries.
Systems in place include policies affecting selection
and screening of workers, supervision of ministries,
and a report and response plan.
Procedures include an open room policy meaning windows
have been installed in classroom doors. Ministry
coordinators serve in the class areas or periodically
observe classrooms without notice.
Church-wide training and awareness seminars are
held periodically for adults and teens.
